About Equity Services
Under the Carleton University Human Rights Code, all students have the right to be treated equally, the right not to be discriminated against and the right to be accommodated for personal needs such as religious needs.
Carleton University Equity Services is the department that promotes the Carleton Human Rights Code and ensures that the rights and responsibilities of students are followed through.
As a Muslim student on campus, you have several rights that are ensured by the University administration. You have the right to not be discriminated against on the basis of your religion and you have the right to have religious accommodation in instances when special accommodation is required, such as fasting during an exam, taking off a day for Eid or prayer times
